The New Update Is Disappointing

Hi, I noticed the recent update to the app removed the Rewrite and Redub features. These were some of the best and most useful options in Vozo, and it’s frustrating to see them gone.
The new “Voice Studio” feels inconvenient compared to before. The audio is now generated by duration, which creates messy outputs and also costs significantly more points. Previously, the points were enough for redubbing and cloning, but now it feels like we’re being pushed to spend more just to access the same features.
Another major issue: when editing a sentence, we used to see both the old and new versions, which made syncing much easier. Now, only the new version shows, so we lose track of what was changed. This often causes audio syncing problems.
Overall, removing the Rewrite and Redub features has reduced the quality and usability of Vozo for me. now user like us may need to look for alternative platforms.
Vozo Team
Hi, thanks a lot for the feedback. I’m Josie, the product manager at Vozo.
We recently upgraded “Edit Script & Dub” to Voice Studio to support more types of workflows. Let me respond to the issues you raised:
- On the pricing change
We moved from charging based on total video duration (5 points per minute) to charging based on the actual generated audio (3 points per minute). The goal is to make things fairer. Some users upload a long video but only edit one line — under the old rule, they paid a lot more than our actual cost. Others generated large amounts of audio with very few points. The new system charges based on what you actually generate.
- On the missing “before and after” text comparison
We removed it to support broader editing use cases, but we understand this may have affected your workflow. It would be really helpful to hear more about how you’re using it — what kind of videos you make, what kind of editing flow works best for you. That will help us decide if we should bring the comparison view back.
If you’re open to chatting more, please reach out to our support team (via the button at the bottom right of the app or by emailing support@vozo.ai). We’d really appreciate it.
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.
